Consistency

Is not something that is exhibited well in this blog.

However, it is something I am trying to rectify and begin anew. I have all these half-assed aspirations and one of them is having a bad ass website that will have more to it then what Blogger can provide. Perhaps this will force me into more constant updating and perhaps adding an element that is beyond my nonsensical and delussional ramblings like an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

Anyway, let me go through my Google Calendar (not a plug for Google) and see what I've been up to and briefly summarize past weekends through one spectacular event for each:

April 14th - My roommate Tom has a planning meeting for, in a year's time, walking across the greatest country on Earth, the US of A. I wasn't there, but hearing his red wine induced passion for treking through Montana and having to potentially shoot bears was invigorating.

April 18, 19, 20th - At one point, I am standing on a balcony, looking over the Baltimore skyline, whiskey on the rocks in one hand, a cigar in the other, talking to Patti's uncle about an old sailor buddy who taught him a technique of how to light a cigar even on a aircraft carrier in heavy winds.

April 25, 26, 27th - Erin, Matt, Ferd, Chris and I go to Suppenkuche, a German restaurant in Hayes Valley. We get there right before the kitchen closed and get some wonderful, close to authentic German food. Their beer menu, however, had a size that fit my personal mantra of "How can you see something an not do it?"

Yeah, meeting the folks the next day to go sight seeing in 75 degree blazing sun was UNrad.

April 28th - Mario Kart for Wii. Wii Wheel sucks. 150cc racing is just as frustrating as it was on N64. Here's what happened when Tom beat the 50cc circuit of races:

Yup, that's Tom made into a Mii character, with a FUPA.

May 3rd - At a tryout for Brass Monkey, mixed Ultimate team in SF that won Nationals 2 years ago, I manage to catch a floaty scoober to the front cone over a big guy and injure him to the point that he was sitting on the field by himself at the point of collision for a good 10 minutes. I am "that guy" again (see earlier posts).

May 9, 10, 11th - Best Birthday Weekend I've ever gone to I think. This gets two events.
a) Point Break Live - An ensemble of 8 people acted out the tour-de-force Point Break and Keanu (ne Johnny Utah in the movie) was actually casted from the audience and read everything off cue-cards. A great part of the show is the climactic end scene when a friend of mine Nate, actually got to shoot some people and then got shot. Came out of NOWHERE.

b) Bouncy Boxing Ring - 60 second matches wearing massive boxing gloves and bouncing off the walls and ground to get super jump attacks. I went 4-0 and Erin went 1-7. Loser.

May 16, 17, 18th - 4 hour layover in Atlanta's airport from 5:30am to 9:30am en route to my sister's grad school graduation from SUNY-Cortland for her Master's in Education for Rugrats. Congratulations, now move to a place closer to an airport.

There was stuff along the way, but it'll be forever lost due to my inconsistency. That'll teach me...
