Three Minutes Until I Check Woot
Sunday, January 4, 2009
And that's sorta sad. Thing is, at 12:00am CST (equals 10:00pm PST), Woot.com refreshes their daily auction.
Anyway, quick update.
December Week 2 - Chico, CA. College town, Lots of light beer, Beautiful disc golf course, Destroyed rental car, Stranded at middle of nowhere locals bar which was awesome.
December Week 3 - Head back to New Paltz, Flight got canceled, Stuck in SFO for 10 hours, Red eye to Newark in snow.
Xmas Week - Snow, Shovel snow, Xmas, Family drinking.
New Years Eve - Slow, But pleasant.
New Years Day -Horse track. Crowded. $1 Beers. Ferd has me bet on the 8th horse in the 8th race to win. Both times I've done this, the horse has gotten dead last.
Last Week - Phat Philly. It's a place in the Mission that does Philly style cheesesteaks.
STOP.
I know all you east coast purists are saying "F- that noise. Philly does 'em right and you can't get that s- anywhere's else." Well, the conclusion has been reached that though it wouldn't trump any of the classic Philly spots (Pat's, Geno's, Tony Lukes), it would make a more than respectable local spot in any Philly neighborhood to get a Whiz wit.
Beyond that, my office moved this far away starting on the 1st.

That x is where my office is... and the time from A to x is approximately a 90 second bike ride all down hill, so that's pretty sweet. We are also in a three story building that is like 4 times the space of our old office. I am on the top floor, near a window, and it's almost bare on our floor. Thus, the baskeball hoops, remote control cars and Nerf wars are forthcoming and thus will complete the stereotypical dot com office environment, except we'll actually be profitable for more than 18 months and NOT go bankrupt.
Ummmmm.......
90% away from taking a Berkeley extension class on Essentials of Business --> Leads to getting into MBA school.
Julia got me a free jump at a local skydiving place in Sacramento --> Leads to getting certified as a skydiver in the next couple of years.
Signed up for Boot Camp, the closest thing to a winter indoor college Ultimate practice as possible --> Leads to staying in a reasonable shape as now that my 7 mile work commute has been reduced to .75 miles
Those can be interpreted as 2009 resolutions, goals, avenues of pursuit or what have you, but in the end, they are directions to take and thus is better than my current direction of this:

Good night, e'erybody! DCers, I'll see ya in two weeks. Upstaters, I just saw ya. Everyone else, you know where I live.
